DxO Perspective App Reviews
Didn’t believe it was actually going to work but holy… Really good app didn’t expect it to work so fast and quickly. Definetly worth the money, however the menu options sometime crash, kinda hard to explain but the text like (Open, new, etc.) topple over each other like its a bunch of scribbles, happened 3 times and for a few of my other friends who tested the app, other than that its pretty neat!
I wasn’t sure about this application since I usually make these perspective adjustments in either Lightroom or Photoshop. But I had a «special case» that neither succeeded to fix. So for 15$ why not try DxO? Honnestly, I am very satisfyed with this product which is really simple to use and very efficient at what it does! I would recommand it for those who don’t have all the appropriate lenses to shoot buildings or architecture. This would certainly be a useful tool!
Very easy to use. I just dragged a JPEG from iPhoto onto the work space, selected the first tool, positioned the anchor points and clicked the Apply button. In about two seconds the image was corrected. I love that it worked so well without having to read a manual. Very intuitive. I’m looking forward to learning about the other tools.
Its no secret that Apple drops the NonRetina technology. Why developers are still using the old methods of development? It would be logical to add support Apertute.
Nice Small App
Nice small app to align your photos.
I find this software really useful. But it’s too niche at the same time. If you are not pro, you may not need it that often. But if you are pro and don’t want to do the same in PS or Lightroom, this is very handy.
Wow! DxO Perspective does exactly what it claims and does it very well. I quickly modified two dozen architectural exteriors, interiors and landscapes. Results are very impressive. My initial tests done on a 2013 iMac, using JPEGS opened in Preview. Drag & drop a photo from Preview into DxO. The interface is intuitive. Choose the simple but effective settings, hit "Apply" and almost instantaneously the photo is modified. Original photos are untouched. As an architect, correcting the perspective on photos using DxO is now quick & easy. Im not affiliated in anyway with the DxO Labs. I purchased DxO using the App Store. Highly recommended.
Great for material mapping
Use this to adjust existing material images for clean 3D mapping! Quick and easy to use, works seamlessly with iPhoto.
This app covers all the different methods to align an image. I especially love the 8 point lineup. I work frequently with old images and DxO Perspective is the best ever at straightening deformed images. I hope you will make a version for iOS.
The scope of this app is not broad – it doesn’t do a lot, but what it does it does very well. In my experience this app fixes the perspectives of skewed photos without making them look screwy. Impressive.
I agonized over buying this since I have other Photo editing programs, and youd think that theyd have perspective as a basic feature (hello Photoshop...). When they dropped the price I grabbed DxO Perspective and am very glad I did! It does what it says more-or-less perfectly, at least I havent found anything perspective it doesnt do well. I purchased it for exterior/interior architector shots, then I started using it for other things - like all the pictures of funny saying signs in stores and peoples homes. Wow, fantastic! Straightens them like I have a tripod and leveler! Ive taken some test shots of artwork and it works perfectly there as well. Im going to start experimenting with other things, like landscapes. If the developers would like to expand into other perspective issues like lens barrel distortion, that would be fantastic!
As a DxO patron of 10+ years, I know they make excellent software, and this is no exception. However, I would like to see more integration with OS X and iOS via an extension for Photos, perhaps even directly integrated into DxO OpticsPro for Photos.
Sorry to do this.I purchased Perspective to straighten out lens distortion,Barrel distortion or known as fisheye effect. This is not doing anything.Useless to me.
The image correction, even in complex compositions, is very impressive. This is the case even with lenses which distort architectural images quite a bit (e.g. Nikkor 18 - 55mm) and not evenly across the frame. The software is super fast as well. The only downside - the software is not an extension. I wonder why, but it really should be!
